On behalf of everyone at Fig Tree Primary, we would like to express our deepest sympathies for the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Her dedication to the United Kingdom and to her other realms and territories is unparalleled and we thank her for her service.
We will observe the national mourning period whilst continuing to support our pupils, families and staff. We will cease any non-urgent communications and social media posts during this period of mourning.
On Friday of last week, students reflected on the life and service of The Queen and held a two-minute silence as a gesture of gratitude to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. We will also now observe the national holiday scheduled on Monday 19th September for Her Majesty’s funeral, which means schools will be closed on that day.
