Our Core Values

Our Core Values

Our core values are based on our Islamic beliefs and linked to the Quran:

At Fig Tree Primary School, our core values shape everything we do. These values help our children grow not only academically, but also into confident, compassionate and responsible young people.

Our values are deeply connected to Islamic teachings.

Leadership means taking responsibility, setting a good example and serving others. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught that each of us has responsibilities towards those in our care.

Excellence reflects the Islamic principle of ihsan, striving to do things in the best possible way, with sincerity and care.

Achieve encourages children to aim high, work hard and make the most of the abilities Allah has given them.

Resilience teaches our pupils not to give up when things become difficult. Islam teaches sabr, patience, perseverance and remaining steadfast through challenges. Mistakes and setbacks are opportunities to learn, improve and try again.

Nurture reminds us to show kindness, compassion and respect. The Prophet ﷺ was known for his mercy and gentleness, particularly towards children, and we want every pupil to feel valued, supported and cared for.

Through LEARN, we want our children to understand that education is about more than achieving good results. It is about developing knowledge, strong character and a sense of responsibility towards Allah, ourselves and the people around us. We learn to succeed, and we learn to become better people.
