Assalamu alaykum
Dear Parents,
As we come to the end of a wonderful year, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude for your support and involvement throughout the year.
What a brilliant year we have had! We’ve welcomed fantastic guests and raised awareness about many important global issues. We celebrated a blessed Ramadan together and had an amazing iftar. Additionally, we raised money for Morocco, Libya, and Palestine. You participated in the Ramadan fundraiser, Winter Fair and Summer Fair in total you have raised an astounding £4741.28, Mashallah may Allah accept our efforts.
Many developments to the site have been made. We have developed our playground with artificial grass and new equipment, enhancing the play experience for our children.
To our Year 6 students, good luck with your transition into Year 7, you are leaving but our duas are always with you. You will be dearly missed by the Fig Tree family.
Please note that new school sweatshirts will be available on the 2nd and 3rd of September. Keep an eye on Dojo notifications for updates.
The first day back for the next academic year is Wednesday, 4th September 2024. We look forward to welcoming everyone back.
We inshallah will be welcoming two new members of staff to our team, Mrs Ahmed is returning from her maternity leave and will be teaching the Year 3 and Mrs Muhammadian will be joining us as the Year 4 teacher.
Please encourage your children to keep up with their salahs, and Quran reading as well as English reading during the holidays. Reading is the fastest way to build vocabulary. Children learn on average 4,000 to 12,000 words per year
through reading.
Have a safe, lovely, and relaxing summer holiday.
Wa salam,
Mrs Hussain
